# 5430. An Egyptian letter holder and ink stand (including original ink pots, pen, and blotter). Circa 1920-30. Rosewood, bone, mother-of-pearl, and inlaid wood. From the Toukh Trade School in Cairo. Size: 24.5cm wide x 27 cm long and 38.5 cm tall. In inlaid bone Arabic script (translation): "From Mohamed Soliem to his colleague Mr. Khair El-deon Fnayet 1932" Condition: part of the bone platform under the right sphinx is missing; There is a vertical crack in the back right of the letter holder, probably cause by age; one of the mother-of-pearl obelisks has some plates missing; the back right corner of the platform has about 1.5" on the corner missing left and right. Price: $2,950.00


# Ink10. A German Military helmet inkwell. Size: 6cm x 8 cm x 8 cm tall. Condition: one small dent at "11 o'clock using the medal on the front of the cap for reference. Using the double headed eagle, you lift the helmet back to reveal the pottery ink pot. Circa 1900. in Latin on the medal: "Suum Quique" Price: $355.00.


# 5683. An ink pot, plateau and portfolio. Circa 1865-85. Gilt mark for a Regent Street London gallery. Size: Plateau (holds the ink pot and pens) 8" x 12" - Exotic wood and four gilt brass and enameled applied decorations in the Celtic design. The crystal ink pot sits in the recessed center of the plateau. The portfolio is 8.5" x 12", the same exotic wood and gilt brass and gilt brass and enamel 'hinges' and opens to a pale blue moire interior to hold paper and letters and envelopes. One pocket slot. Condition: the crystal ink pot with its gilt brass and applied enamel Celtic design has a thumbnail base chip. Price: $750.00.


# 4907. A figural wax seal. Silver-plate on brass. Size: 4.25" tall. Initialed "O.E.D." The cavalier stands holding a sword attached to his hip; over his shoulder he holds part of a cross bow {the end was broken off at some time and lost}. Some wear to the silver-plate. Probably European / late 19th century. Price: $285.00.


# 4964. A fine Desk Folio. Habsburg Era. Austrian Eagle on the cover along with the date - 1875. Leather with brass pierced decoration; enamel (paint) colors. Size: app. 11.25" x 15". Condition: scuffs to the leather consistent with use and age. Original fabric interior. There are no missing brass elements. Price: $850.00.


# 4390. A Marble and Gilt Bronze Empire Style Ink stand. Size: 6.5" x 10", on 4 small bun feet. Age: late 19th early 20th century. Two ink holders; pen rests. Condition: no glass ink pots; loss and repair to the marble: red denotes loss, green denotes repair; the marble has cracked along veins; gilt loss to the bronze. Incised on the underside: "A.G. 1602". All in all a very presentable inkstand. Price: $1,200.00.
