#5670. A Meissen porcelain figural group. Children sitting or standing on rocks as a little child Mozart conducts. Size: 6.75" tall and the base is 4" at the widest. Condition: this poor little piece must have been played with a lot by children: there are multiple losses: boy with blue panties has the tip of his bow and the end of his violin missing; the boy sitting and playing the flute has part of his flute missing; the little girl sitting playing the lute has the top of her lute missing. Underglaze factory mark for Meissen plus a paper label for Gilman Collamore & Co. Union Sq. NY incised numbers 125, painted in red numbers 56; incised hand scored numbers 2439. This form came in various sizes and this was probably the smallest. Price (despite its considerable losses) $1,500.00.
