#EOFF. An American Silver covered tureen. Hallmark for Garret Eoff (1779-1845). Size: 11" across (handle to handle) and 11" tall. Weight 59 oz. Late Federal Period, c. 1920. Monogramed in script: "From the will of Oliver Wolcott (Jr.)". (January 11,1760-June 1, 1833), He was the second United States Secretary of the Treasury: appointed by George Washington and John Adams, preceded by Alexander Hamilton; a judge of the U.S. Circuit Court for the Second Circuit and the 24th Governor of Connecticut. There are examples of Eoff's works in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Descended from the family. $4,500.00.
