Item number 265. From the Zsolnay Factory in Pecs Hungary. Form number 8695 which dates it to 1912. The design was influenced by Michael Powolny and the Wiener Werkstatte of Vienna Austria. Factory marks of the era. Size: 8.25" tall; 5.25" diameter. Condition: Tiny pinpoint glaze loss on the edge of the lid as issued from the factory; no restorations or repairs. A small putti stands on a grassy knoll holding his cache of flowers. Glaze: mottled green metallic eosin against an orcher ground. Very few different examples exist reflecting this Vienna influenced design. Price: $2,750.00.
