Antofagasta & Bolivia Railway

These models were made prior to 1900; they were bench made and are copies of real locomotives and are made of copper and brass. Each is one of a kind. There are thirteen engines in this collection. The Price for the collection is $22,500.00. The price for this engine is $2,000.00.

THE ANTOFAGASTA (CHILE) AND BOLIVIA RAILWAY COMPANY, LTD. "On November 28, 1888, the musical chair drama continued when the Hunachaca Company sold all its rights to another company called the Antofagasta (Chile) and Bolivia Railway Company, Ltd., otherwise known as the F.C.A.B. The latter company had been organized in London for the express purpose of acquiring the Chilean railway and all concessions related thereto and extending the main line tracks from the frontier to Uyuni and Oruro under new concessions to be solicited from the Bolivian government. The Purchase price was 1.45 million pounds sterling . . ." ¹

There is considerable information about the Antofagasta and Bolivia Railway Company either in print and on the Internet. I suspect that there are existing photos of the models that we offer for sale in the Museum in Antofagasta, Chile. If those become available to me, I will post them on the site that details individual locomotives.
