Item LH7. A single Empire era vase. c. 1820. Paris Porcelain Style. Probably Russian. A double sided vase with a scene of a peasant girl hearding cows and sheep in a pastoral setting. The other side has a polychromed decoration of a large emerald jewel painting surrounded with various motifs including gothic quatrafoils in a repatitive design. Size: app. 11" tall and a 3.5" square base. Matt and bright gold gilt overall. Stylized classical heads in relief decorate the handles.
