The only JARU figures we offer are the stylized cubist figures. Gift wrapping is available for smaller items and of course we can ship purchases to most destinations via UPS, U.S. Postal or Fedex.
The Jaru Pottery Company was established in 1950. Around 1929, the J.A. Bauer Company hired Victor Houser, a ceramics engineer, to create a new line of opaque colored glazes for various earthenware products. Victor Houser left Bauer in 1951 and began working for Jaru shortly thereafter. . . we will add information about Jaru from time to time - this is all we know at the moment.

Jaru # 7. A pair of Cubist Style Cat figures. Color: metallic silver (like a mirror). Size: app. 10.25" tall. Marks: "© JARU 1978". It is uncommon to offer a pair (these are identical - not opposites). Condition: minor chips and rubbing of the silver surface in areas. This pair of figures has been sold.

JARU 2. A male figure. Gold Male Nude Figure. Extremely gold metallic glaze. Very reflective. Condition: minor abrasions to the surface. Size: app. 9.25" tall. Marked with a paper label : "© JARU 1981" and incised into the ceramic the same marks. Price $235.00.
JARU 3. A Male Nude Figure. Deep Blue Glaze. Size: almost 17" long. Incised marks: "© JARU 1977". Condition: minor scuffs to the surface. Price $245.00
JARU 4. Pair of Nude Lovers. The embracing lovers are covered with an orange glaze. Size: 16" long. Incised marks (indistinct date): "© JARU 1977". Condition: edge flake to one of the toes. Price $235.00.
JARU 5. Female Nude. Metallic Silver Glaze. Size: 12.5" long. Incised marks: "© JARU 1978". Condition: tiny scuffs consistent with use and age. Price $235.00.
