The Gresham Palace

Budapest Hungary

The Stained Glass

The Glass at the Gresham was designed by Miksa Róth. He was born in 1865 and took over his father glass firm when he was 19 years old. The windows in the Gresham are a national Hungarian treasurer and I am sure will all be restored to the original grandeur.

If I remember correctly, this window is located opposite an elevator on the second or third story.

Great color and Secession design in this panel which needs considerable restoration.

High style Stained Glass panel

As you can see, many panels of glass were replaced through the years with plain glass panels.

These panels are elevator lights running the verticle length of the building, a stair case wraps around the elevator. I believe there are two such elevators.
