# Cape. Offering a World War One General's Infantry outer cape. Wool. In pencil on the box were the words: "General Bullard's Infantry Cape". (Information about Bullard: During World War I, Robert Bullard (1861-1947) was given command of the 1st Infantry Division, Third Army Corps and eventually was awarded the command of the Second U.S. Army. Bullard also had a fierce reputation on the battlefield, earning him the nickname "Counter-Attack" Bullard. He took part in many of the major American offensives in World War I, including the Second Battle of the Marne.He also served in the Spanish-American War and in the Philippines where he was a military governor. Bullard retired in 1925. There were only two Lt . Generals in WWI )Condition: very good; no fading. A single interior pocket. Lined. No label or written notations anywhere on this item. This is a very heavy wool material. Price: $500.00.
