The Cliff Walk of Newport Rhode Island
APC 70. This images shows the beginning of the Cliff Walk as it appeared in the early 20th century. The Road in the background where the utility poles are located was call then Bath Road and it is now a four lane road called Memorial Boulevard. The cards below are NOT in the order of walking along the Cliff Walk.

APC 70B. Titled: " The Cliffs from Bailey's Beach, Newport, R.I." On the back of the card is written to Jennie from Howard: " I would like very much to exchange photo's with you, that is if you are willing. I think it would be nice to see what each other looks like. Answer soon . . . "

APC 70N. Titled: "Newport, R.I. Bailey's Beach, where the 400 Bathe"
APC 70o. Titled: "Along the Ocean Drive, Borden Cottages by Moonlight, Newport, R.I." On the back is written "Dear Cousin: No doubt you will be surprised to know that I am a sailor boy. Have been in serivce over two months. Avers is first Lt. in the Army. He is in Ft. Worth Texas. Clarance and Burton have not gone yet. Write to me. My address is Naval Training Station 54 Newport, R.I. Homer"
