19 B. This card is dated September 7, 1908. The title is: 'Townsend Industrial School Newport, R.I.' # E-11461 Publ. by Robbins Bros. Boston and Germany. Manufacturers of Souvenir Postal Cards. This building and the "High School" next to it are used as a Newport Middle School today. Newport voters in the spring of 1997 were asked if they wanted to replace these buildings with a new middle school compley: the vote was over 60% NO.
