# 7218. A fine French Vitrine from the workshop of Henry Dasson (stamped Henry Dasson 1883) This Vitrine is richly appointed with fire gilt bronze ornamentation. The door opens to three plate glass shelves, two for display and a storage cabinet below. Henry Dasson (1825-1896), was one of the most celebrated and highly accomplished Parisian ebenistes (cabinetmakers) and bronziers of the 19th century. He is globally renowned for his exceptionally luxurious reproductions of 18th century royal furniture and decorative objects d'art. His exceptional work earned him the Grand Prix Artistique at the 1889 Paris Exposition, and he was appointed an Officer of the prestigious Legion d'honneur. Today pieces stamped by Henry Dasson command premium six-figure prices at major auction houses like Sotheby's. Size: 35.5" wide x 67" tall x 17" deep. Condition: the original finish appears to have been removed. There are two small sections of wood moulding losses. The mirror and all the glass panels are intact and without issue.There is no key to the lock. Inquiries appreciated.
