# 5717. A rare Folk Art carved carriage and horse ensemble. From Oswego New York. Late 19th century. Size: 30" long. Composed of a carriage, driver and a pair of horses. Condition: original and untouched. Signed in pencil under the driver: "Made by Emil Crock for LBI" This item has been in the same family for over 100 years. The leather strapping is deteriorated, the blankets covering the horses was originally purple and has faded to tan. There is a loss to the back of the top hat of the driver and his whip is missing. This is a great example of American folk art by an American Folk Artist. Inquiries.
