Item # 5324. A French Palissy Majolica wall platter. Size: 14.5" x 20". Signed in script on the front Renoleau and incised on the back with initials A R. 19th century. Alfred Renoleau was an import designer in his field: palissy ware. This platter consists of 2 fish, 2 frogs and 2 crustrations. Condition: the lower back fin of the larger fish was broken off an reglued back on; There is a significant break and old repair on the bottom left of the platter: size is 4.25" and it is 2" deep with two sections glued back together as shown in the detailed images.
