# 5208. An American Parlor Mirror. The Charles Parker Company. Ca. 1885. Brass, silver plate, other metals, wood and period velvet fabric. Size: 36" x 36". Condition: The small bolts attaching the applied flower roundels were probably replaced with more contemporary bolts; there as surface scuffs to the original beveled mirror; metal surface scuffs consistent with use and age. The Charles Parker Co. was located in Meridian Connecticut. A very similar mirror is pictured on page 47 of " A Brass Menagerie Metalwork of the Aesthetic Movement" written by Anna Tobin D'Ambrosio. The finish on our mirror appears to be original. This mirror has been sold.
