# 5187. A fine Gothic Style American Cast Iron Parlor Stove. Size: 27" tall; footprint: 31" wide and 18" deep; the flue is a 6" opening in the back and the bottom of the flue is 18" off the floor. One side door; the front door removes. Marked in relief around the top surface: "Home Parlor No. 5" ; "Johnson Cox & Fuller - Troy N.Y." ; "Patd. 1852". Condition: if there were interior fire bricks, none exist now. To the best of our knowedge, there are no cracks, repairs or losses to this stove, it is very clean; the feet remove easily; the surface rust is very minor. In the book by Tammis Kane Groft "Cast with Style" there are several notations in the text to firms that made this stove. The Albany Troy area was a major manufacturing source for fine American Cast Iron Stoves. This is one of the nicest Gothic stoves we have had in a long time. Price: $1,500.00.
