# 5171. A decorative lamp: circa 1900. Eva Csenkey titles this form as the "Listening Faun" in describing a similar form from the Rudolf Schmutz Collection. Designed by Lajos Mack, the incised form number 6236 indicates a production date of 1900. Round raised factory mark of the era. Acorn mark (for Lajos Mack) on the side behind the Faun's leg.Colorations are attractive, with the faun shown in red glaze with darker red hair and hoofs. The rock is a muted green/brown/gold Eosin Glaze. Size: 25.5 cm tall; 13.2 cm wide and 1.7cm deep. The electrical bulb outlet located inside of the rock is non-existent. Condition: without flaws. Few of this form are known to exist. This item has been sold.
