# 5095. For the serious Oenophile or wine aficionados or connoisseur: A matched set of four (4) 19th century wine tasters. Egyptian Revival Style. This set retains its original leather covered box. English; fully hallmarked on the reverse of each taster. Gold wash over parts of the bowl. Elaborate bright work designs in the bowl with the center decoration a wreath of grapes and leaves. The bright work designs tend to be cut through the gold gilt surface revealing silver color. Each taster is approximately 8.5" long; the bowl is 2.87" diameter and the box is 10" square. Age: the style of the decoration is consistent with circa 1874 and the registry mark indicates a production date from that year. Condition: the tasters are in fine condition; the box has a left side lid split. We believe that this set is silver plate and are selling it as such. The Hallmarks state: "M" "H" "& Co" "S" and the last one is a crown over the initials "EP" Price for the boxed set is $2,500.00.
