# 4871. A three piece set of American Girandoles. Circa 1854-1865. Called the "Stagg" Model. Att. to Starr, Fellows & Co. No 74 Beekman Street, New York. The single candle Girandoles are 15.5" tall with a stepped marble base of 6.5" x 3.5". The Three branch Girandole is 18" tall with the same size stepped marble base. Condition: All prisims are original with the exception of one replacement which is different though the same size. The Gold Gilt patina to the bronze is period and in very nice condition. The waterfall on either side of the stagg is burnished to be very, very shiny. This Girandole is pictured on page 168 of H. Parrott Bacot's Book "Nineteenth Century Lighting" published by Schiffer Publishing. This is a rare and beautiful set in excellent original condition. There is a pair of single Stagg Girandoles in the collection of The Anglo-American Art Museum at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Price for the set is: $2,500.00.
