Gothic Furnishings from Newport Rhode Island
# 4669. A French Gothic Revival Miniature Sideboard / Hanging Cabinet. Age: 1860-70. Cabinet makers paper label on the back stating: "Graverend / 63 Rue Grand Pont. / Rouen". Mahogany (solid not veneer). Size: overall 23" x 34". The shelves from the top down: 20" x 3.75" ; 20" x 5.5" ; 20" x 8.25"; Inside the cabinet the bottom (and only) shelf is 20" x 8". Condition: no losses or breaks to the glass or mirror; distressed mercury to the mirror back. The lock functions and the key is original. This cabinet is Gothic / Rococo in style. It has turned feet in the front and has the appearance of a child's size sideboard. There are original hanging rings on the top back so that it may be hung from a wall. The price for this rare and beautiful cabinet is $2,500.00.

The strong sunlight is causing the yellow color on the right hand door.There is a different in the grain of each door with the right door slightly lighter.
