# 4459. Offering a finely sculpted portrait bust made of porcelain depicting Queen Louise of Prussia. Marked "Germany" and made probably around 1900. Size: 6 " x 7" footprint and the statue is 23" tall. Condition: she lost her head at one time and it was experetly reattached; the gold scarf 'flying' from her neck also shows signs of restoration. One can see the restoration line in the back of the figure, but it is not readily apparent from the front. Gilt loss on the front of her gown as pictured. Still all in all, this is a rare and large representation of one of Germany's most beloved Queens. She has been depticted in paintings, prints, statues and literature for generations. We do not know the factory. Price: $2,500.00.
