# 4347 is an exceptional ceramic figural group. Printed and incised mark for the Wiener Kunstkeramische Werkstätte. Indistinct signature of the artist. Size: 13.5 wide x 11" deep and 16" tall. c. 1909. This fine and rare Austrian Secession figure has we believe a repair to the neck of the lady and we detail photo of the legs of the faun that show glaze lines around each leg. We do not believe that the faun legs were ever repaired. Concerning the Wiener Kunstkeramische Werkstätte: "Art Pottery started (1908) when Heinrich Ludescher and Robert Busch bought out employers, A. Forster & Co. of Vienna. Ludescher left, 1909. Production includes figures and sculptured vases. Printed and impressed marks." {from Marks and Monograms of teh Modern Movement 1875-1930 by Malcolm Haslam}. Price: $7,500.00.

We believe that the neck was repaired at one time.

The blue arrows indicate the location of the glaze lines.

As you can see from this top down view, the container in the back is meant to hold flowers.
