Antique Glass from The Drawing Room of Newport
# 4063 is the detail of a Tiffany leaded window. Size: 8" wide and 38" tall. This is a fragment that was probably part of a hall window light. There is a continous design of flowers, leaves and vines intertwined with blue ribbon set against an opalescent background. Two of the opalescent panes have been replaces and there are several fractures in the larger panes. All in all, it is a nice Aesthetic design for Tiffany and dates from between 1885 and 1890. The window does detail a complete statement of design with the colored glass ending at the top and bottom with borders of opalescent glass framing the entirity. The daisy flower is seldom used in Tiffany designs. We have a companion window (4067) that came from the same Newport Rhode Island Bellevue Avenue Cottage. Price on request.
