# 303. This is quite an unusual Zsolnay item really not to be found outside of Hungary. Though it is not unusual for the Zsolnay factory. It is a single two part baulster. The Zsolnay factory could and did make architectural elements for the interior and exterior of buildings. The room that this item came from must have been extra ordinary. The form number is not the standard form number for the art pottery line, this number relates to an architectural book. The number is: 3994 and is incised along with the factory and city name. Date: probably around 1900. Size: app. 20" tall. Glaze: exceptionally well executed Labrador glaze. Condition: minor edge and surface flecks as noted in the images. We have seen only one other of these balusters and it was in Pecs and had been rather successfully turned into a lamp stem for a table lamp. Only the shorter section is marked. P.O.R.
